You read that right!

Turns out that you can tell the active and passive voices apart just by using the phrase “by zombies.” If you can add the phrase “by zombies” after the verb of the sentence and it makes sense, then the verb is in the passive voice. If it doesn’t make any sense, however, it’s in the active voice.
